Information We Collect
Local Use: If you use Overlanding Buddy without connecting to Google, all of your data (such as trip lists) is stored only on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit your data.
Google Integration (Optional): If you choose to connect the App to your Google account, the App may access and send your selected data (trip lists) only to your Google account and the Google Sheets or other Google services that you explicitly authorize. The App reads and writes data only to the Google Sheet you select when connecting to Google. No Google user data is retained or deleted by the application.
We do not collect or transmit any other personal information.
How Your Information Is Used
Local Storage: Data remains solely on your device if you do not connect with Google.
With Google: If you choose to connect, data is transmitted only to your Google account and the Google Sheets or services you specify.
We do not share your information with any third parties other than Google (if you opt to connect).
Data Sharing
No Third-Party Sharing: We do not share, sell, or transfer your data to any third parties.
Google Services: If you use Google integration, Google’s own policies apply to the data stored in your account. Please review the Google Privacy Policy and any applicable Google Terms of Service to understand how Google handles your information.
Cookies and Tracking
We do not use cookies, analytics, or tracking technologies in our iOS application. We do not collect any usage data or behavioral information.
Data Security
No encryption technologies are used by the App to store your data locally. Data stored on your device is subject to the security of your device itself (e.g., device passcode, Face ID/Touch ID, iOS protections).
If connected with Google, your data security is governed by Google’s policies and security practices.
Your Choices
You can use the App entirely offline, keeping all data on your device.
You can optionally connect with Google to sync your data with your account. This choice is entirely up to you and can be changed at any time in your device or Google account settings.
Children’s Privacy
Overlanding Buddy is not directed toward children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with a revised “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
