Welcome to Overlanding Buddy (“the App”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). Please read them carefully before using the App.

1. Use of the App

• Overlanding Buddy is intended for personal use to create and store trip-related lists.
• You may not use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws or regulations.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and any data stored on it.

2. Data Storage and Google Integration

• Local Use: By default, all data you create with the App is stored locally on your device.
• Google Integration (Optional): If you choose to connect the App to your Google account, the App will transmit your selected data (trip lists) only to your Google account and the Google Sheets or other services that you authorize.
• You acknowledge that when connecting to Google, your data will be subject to Google’s terms and policies, including the Google Privacy Policy and Google Terms of Service.

3. Data Security

• The App does not use encryption technologies for local data storage. Your data is only as secure as your device.
• If you choose to use Google integration, your data security is governed by Google’s systems and protections.

4. No Warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of or damage to data, arising from your use of or inability to use the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

6. User Responsibilities

• You are responsible for ensuring your device is backed up and secure.
• You are responsible for managing your connection with Google services, including your account permissions and data stored there.

7. Children’s Use

The App is not directed toward children under the age of 13. If you are under 13, you may not use the App.

8. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after updates means you agree to the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the App.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of [Your State], United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Overlanding Buddy is available to users aged 13 and above with compatible iOS devices.
